Our Adjustable Bed Options

We have beds to serve your every need and take your sleep and relaxation to a whole new level. Using intuitive remote controls that allow you to adjust the head and foot of your bed effortlessly, our adjustable bed bases from top vendors create the perfect position for sleeping, reading, watching TV, working on your laptop, or simply relaxing. You can even experience weightless comfort with zero-gravity positioning, which elevates both your head and legs to improve circulation and reduce pressure on your back. Adjustable bed bases are perfect for those who suffer from aches and pains, as you can elevate your head to ease acid reflux or prop up your legs to improve circulation. Many bases even allow you to save your favorite positions for easy one-touch adjustments throughout the night. But the benefits go beyond just comfort. Some adjustable bed bases feature under-bed lighting for a serene ambiance, while some even include built-in massage features. They can also improve sleep quality by reducing snoring and creating a more comfortable sleep environment, leading to deeper, more restful sleep. Plus, the adjustable bed bases within our City Mattress collection come in various styles, sizes, and configurations to complement your bedroom décor and needs.

Our City Mattress brand adjustable beds have a press-and-hold-flat button, so it's easy to go from any position to lying flat whenever you're ready to sleep. Our newest City Mattress line of Rio Adjustable Bases, available in 2.0, 4.0, or 5.0, goes beyond with silent drive motors, extra lumbar support, active head tilt, and even operation via the ErgoSync App. Including hidden storage, our City Mattress Ergomotion Stow Storage Adjustable Bed Base provides all the benefits of a power base along with concealed under-bed storage, and the Ergomotion Duetto Split Top Adjustable Bed Base helps both you and your partner sleep more soundly. From Leggett & Platt, the Simplicity Adjustable Base model offers all of the innovative extras with wave massage, USB ports, and Bluetooth capabilities, while the split-head adjustable bed base provides advanced personalization for either side of the bed. Tempur-Pedic's adjustable base can raise the head of the bed up to 70 degrees and raise the foot up to 40 degrees, along with pre-set ergonomic positions. Some of the adjustable beds we carry are dual-control, allowing different adjustment angles on either side of the bed. These are just a few examples of the many features that upgrade your lifestyle and transform your sleep with our City Mattress adjustable bed bases!

Learn More About Adjustable Beds

An adjustable bed is a foundation for your mattress which can be moved to a number of different positions. Common adjustments include inclining the upper body and raising the lower body. This is done with a remote control.

An adjustable bed base makes it more comfortable to sleep or relax in bed, but that's not all. It has real health benefits. Adjustable beds can help reduce acid reflux, back pain, pain caused by arthritis, sleep apnea, and more.

If you suffer from sleep apnea or restless leg syndrome, an adjustable bed can help alleviate these problems. Adjustable beds are a lifestyle bed and not always used for medical reasons. They're incredibly comfortable, especially if youre watching tv or reading in bed.

Many people say yes! They can be used to read in bed, watch TV or work on your laptop. It is like having a recliner in your bedroom. In addition to being able to raise and lower the head and feet of the bed, it can provide you with a gentle timed massage. Adjustable beds can have built-in sleep monitors, USB ports, speakers, and under-bed lighting.

Resting in this position will alleviate strain on your legs and lower back. Some adjustable bed bases, like the PranaSleep EuroSlat PowerBase, bring you to this position at the press of a button. On others, you'll need to raise both the head and the leg portion of the mattress until you reach it.

Your adjustable bed base will come with a small metal piece that is put at the bottom "foot" part of the bed to keep it from sliding. The delivery people who set up your bed will put it on. Raising the legs a bit at the same time as the head also stops it from sliding.

Regular sheets are meant to stay flat and tucked under the mattress. This may become an issue if you use an adjustable bed base. You need to find deep-pocketed fitted sheets, sheets with elastic straps, or sheet fasteners to keep your sheet on an adjustable bed.

Yes, they do! Elevating your head on an adjustable bed base enables the air to flow more freely and reduces the vibrations that we know as snoring.

An adjustable bed is great for side sleepers because it can elevate your upper body into a more comfortable and relaxed position where your knees are relaxed and that there is less pressure on your shoulders, hips, and neck. In addition, you may find you like to raise the head portion to read or watch tv before you fall asleep.

Check under the bed base to verify that the wired connections are secure and that there are no cords or bedding obstructing the movement of the base. Also, plug the bed base into a different electrical outlet as well as test the current outlet with another working appliance. If you can't figure it out, contact City Mattress and let us know you're experiencing a problem. Many times, your adjustable bed base is under warranty and we can fix or replace the issue.

Just like with our mattress, the best adjustable bed base is a personal choice. We have options that do much more than raise your head and legs! For example, Serta’s Motion Custom II Adjustable Bed Base can connect to your phone so you can use Serta’s SleepGPS with Sleeptracker Technology. The Serta Motion Custom II Adjustable Bed Base is equipped with pre-set positions, 90-degree head tilt support, adjustable lumbar support, and a six-level massage system. The PranaSleep EuroSlat PowerBase features a zero gravity button, gentle alarm, massage, and more.
