About Our Bed Frames

We carry many strong and durable bed frames at City Mattress, including the Knickerbocker Monster Bed Frame and the Knickerbocker Embrace 360 bed frame. Without a proper bed frame, your mattress will sag and sink faster. Investing in a high-quality bed frame will mean you get better support and your mattress will last longer and support more weight.

Our Bed Frame Options - Metal & Adjustable Bed Frames

Knickerbocker Bedrock Bed Frame is our more affordable option. This bed frame can adjust for a twin, full and queen sized bed. It has a solid vertical center support that reinforces your mattress needs. Because the Bedrock has pedestal style legs with heavy-duty glides, it's perfect for bedrooms with genuine hardwood floors. It's Made in America from high-quality recycled steel. For a more premium option, consider the Knickerbocker Embrace 360 Wraparound Bed Frame. This frame comes in Twin, Full, Queen, King and Cal King sizes. More than just a bed frame, the Embrace 360 has professional designed contours with careful attention to fit, finish and details. It easily incorporates into any bedroom design - and actually adds to the aesthetic appeal of the room. Made from recycled steel and adjustable bed friendly, this bed frame is a perfect choice (plus it eliminates the need for a footboard!).

Learn More About Bed Frames

Yes! While mattresses are crucial to getting a good night's rest, the mattress itself needs to rest on the box spring to ensure the best support. A bed frame provides support for your box spring, which is constructed in a wooden frame.

A standard bed frame is low to the ground and usually has both a headboard and footboard. You can also get a simple bed frame made from metal.

Different types of mattresses will require different support. That being said, there is not enough support to place a mattress directly on bed frame. You need an adjustable bed base, foundation, or boxspring in between.

You will first want to go by the weight and size of the mattress.Measure the size of the room, also. Consider the height and bulkiness of the mattress you will be placing on it. You don't want it to be too high to crawl on top of at night!

An adjustable bed fits snugly into a standard bed frame, because the adjustable bed base is narrower than a frame. Any adjustable bed can be made to fit with your existing frame and headboard, allowing you to keep the look and feel of your room, combined with the comfort and benefits of an adjustable bed.

City Mattress offers White Glove Delivery Service, meaning we not only deliver, but also bring in and setup your order.

If you choose not to have our delivery crew set up your bedframe or it cannot happen because of COVID protocols, don't worry. Bed frames are relatively simple to put together and don't require extensive knowledge or tools.

As long as you have a proper foundation or box spring and both the mattress and bed frame are the same size, any mattress should work with any bed frame.

Sleeping on an adjustable bed frame alleviates Sleep Apnea, Asthma, and Snoring. It also enhances circulation in order to lighten leg swelling. It can also lessen Acid Reflux and Heartburn, relieve Arthritis and back pain.
