City Mattress is a reputable family-owned mattress and furniture retailer offering quality products, exquisite customer service, and a culture of honesty and integrity. The lead home delivery driver will work out of our warehouse in Batavia and will deliver and set up furniture in customer homes and in our City Mattress stores. We are looking for individuals who want to make a difference, who enjoy going the extra mile to satisfy the customer, who are ready to work and want to be part of a winning team. We offer promotions for individuals with a great work ethic and a positive "can do" attitude!
- Work in our warehouse and perform in-home and in-store deliveries
- Be able to lift at least 75 pounds
- Deliver and set up mattresses/furniture
- Be customer service oriented
- Clean driving record preferred
- Drive a 26' straight truckBe able to assemble furniture
- Be a self-starter and highly motivated individual that needs minimal supervision
- Be a team playerBe able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
Requirements
- Prior driver/warehouse experience is a plus. Good customer service skills is a requirement. City Mattress offers a family friendly work environment along with a competitive benefits package. Paid lunch, paid time off, employee discounts, uniform shirts provided.

Requirements
- Greet guests in our retail showroom to find the perfect match for their sleep comfort
- Create an exquisite customer experience by matching customers with quality merchandise
- Learn all of the merchandise to present the best suited products for customers
- Assist guests with purchasing, financing, and delivery follow up
- Provide an excellent customer experience
- Support our culture of honesty and integrity
- Maintain professionalism at all times
- Work diligently toward exceeding personal sales goals
- Utilize hardware/software for sales transactions, training, reporting, and other required activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom to support a positive customer experience
- Ensure alertness and attentiveness throughout the entirety of your shift to maintain optimal performance
Compensation
This role offers a strong earning opportunity through a combination of base pay and performance incentives. The structure includes:
- Hourly base pay
- Commission on delivered sales
- Monthly bonus opportunities
- Annual sales performance bonus
Location & Training
We provide three weeks of in-person training at one of our store locations to ensure a strong foundation in our sales approach and customer experience standards. Following training, the new hire will "float" between multiple store locations to shadow experienced sales staff and continue hands-on learning for well-rounded exposure to our culture, operations, and sales approach. After the initial few months, a store assignment will be determined based on business needs, candidate location, and overall fit. Flexibility is essential, and candidates must have reliable transportation and the ability to commute to various store locations as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Natural ability to relate, connect, and build rapport with customers.
- College degree preferred but not required
- 2+ years of experience in high end sales, preferably in retail
- Professional demeanor and presentation
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and assistive technology (tablets, POS system, CRM, and inventory management systems)
- A flexible schedule is ideal as our retail hours include evenings, weekends, and holidays (details to be provided).
- Associates may also be required to work in any store located within their designated region, within reason.
